I will. That's why I say I cannot afford to not go to a meeting just because I don't give it a four star rating. Oh and I DO give ratings - secretly for the most part of course - but even the crumbiest most still-powerless group can be a good "trap" for a newcomer and there's probably no one trying to 'grab' him afterwards to take him through the steps. Which is good for me. I only goto a couple o meetings a week right now and while neither of them are how I would run them - they are still AA meetings. I am in the process of starting a new home-group for 'myself' LOL - so that'll be interesting I hope. DJS

i'm pondering......

this doesn't relate as such but i have recently noticed a divide in various meetings... i.e. AA's saying "my AA group is better than YOUR AA meeting/group." i actually see the two meetings they were discussing as 'different' but not 'good' or 'bad'.. my point, if there IS one, is that i felt uncomfortable with the nanny boo boo stick your meeting in doo doo.. however, i'm sure i've judged each group too so i'm no better eh? just wish everyone could get along - or like my granny used to say 'i just want everyone to be happy'.. yea well, i can wish right? i don't live in la la land yet.

unfortunately for this newbie, i'd just rather stay home and skip all the who's dating who, who's meeting is better than who's and listen to speaker tapes on the internet where i get info i might can USE to help myself and therefore others. ECK! sorry - got on roll. u don't have to publish this long damn thang.
