Some hang around AA for their own personal bad wants and some day one looks back in like and ask what happen time is past and here I sit. They only themselfs to blame, in AA the book says about not being honest with ourselfs. I have seen these older ones with time but have what I do'nt want or need. Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. Decided to go to any length, ready to take certain steps. They here this and at some of these thay balked. Their still looking for their own easier, softer way. Holding on to old ideas, not bieng rigorous honesty. The book says what you get "Their chances are less than average". No way I do not want a life less then average that's where I was when I came into AA. Less then average trying to live by self-propulsion what you get and become is a person who is, and the book says this, mean, egotistical, selfish and dishonest, thinks life doesn't treat him right. More demanding a blamer, who is angry indignant, self-pitying. To live a life of dilusion to wrest satisfaction and happpiness out of this world if he only manages well? Yes Danny your words are very true. To wake up and not know and trust in your day ahead to live life restless, irritable,discontent.
