Need Help?

My name is Danny S. I am a real, live recovered alcoholic. I have been separated from alcohol for the last ten years and the desire to drink has been completely removed from me.

There are lots of men and women like me - but since you have stumbled upon me alone - then let us get down to the nitty gritty shall we?

Alcoholics CAN and DO recover from the illness and anyone who has told you otherwise - the are full of crap. They may be nice people, but they are still full of crap even if it is unintentional.

For me recovery happened just forty for days off my last drunk and it required a lot of work. But I now have permanent sobriety and am happy as a freakin' clam. (Really. I am. Please ignore the Charles Manson "Cover of Life Magazine" impersonation to the right.

I would like to pass on what I know about alcoholism - what I have learned from my own experience and which I share with the co-authors of the Big Book, "Alcoholics Anonymous" - and show anyone who needs to know just how I and they recovered. I will work one-on-one with ANY alcoholic, FREE. I will not tell you what to do, but WILL tell you what I did to solved the problem and personally guide you through it - if you can stand it.

The program is fast acting, effective and clearly detailed, step by step in AA's Program.

In MOST cases you must be able and willing to travel to Cape Cod, MA and cover your own room and meals. You must be willing to spend at least a month with me. You must be willing to allow me to speak with your spouse/family without restriction.

If you are not within traveling distance for yourself - I will come to you, but you must cover the cost of travel, hotel and meals. I am willing but not rich. I have taken this message around the globe and there is no sordid spot on earth to which I will not travel to help you. I don't care if you are in Borneo or New Jersey. (Well . . . . New Jersey is a little rough - but lets talk) My occupation as a writer allows me to make my own schedule so that is never an issue.

I don't give a crap if you are an Oldtimer, a Newcomer, a Kneecrawler, a Snotflinger - ALL alcoholics welcomed. I also don't care if you are a street urchin or a movie star - if you are an alcoholic like me then that is all that counts. If you cannot get to me or get me to you I will do my best to help you find someone in your area who can help you. I've done quite a bit of that too over the years so don't let geography or travelling be an issue and don't let your own bullshit prevent you from getting some help.
